Tara Terrah
GUITAR/VOCALS
Tara was drawn to music since she was a young child. Her earliest memories consist of her hearing 50s/60s rock and roll from her parents' record collection. She started singing and playing guitar at the age of 12, using the local church folk group to practice singing and playing in front of a crowd. As a teen, Tara discovered female fronted rock bands and "riot grrrl" bands such as Hole, The Runaways, Bikini Kill, L7, Lunachicks, 7 Year Bitch, Babes in Toyland and 45 Grave. Being introverted and shy, she was determined to "find her voice" and express her emotions through music. She was involved in a variety of projects over the years, most notably Spazz McRipper and The Bloody Zebras and Them Scoundrels. Tara has had the honor of playing the stages at CBGB, Pianos and Amityville Music Hall. As a vocalist and frontwoman, Tara is influenced by Courtney Love, Kat Bjelland, Ronnie Spector, Siousxie Sioux, Wendy O Williams, and Exne Cervenka. Having a diverse taste, some of Taras favorite bands are The Sex Pistols, The Supremes, Eyehategod, Acid Bath, GG Allin, Babes In Toyland, Howlin' Wolf, PJ Harvey and The Ronettes.
